Landscape Nursery Manager Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and results-oriented Landscape Nursery Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our landscape nursery, including plant production and maintenance, inventory management, logistics coordination, and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong horticultural expertise, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Oversee all daily nursery operations, including plant care, inventory management, and inbound/outbound freight logistics. Plan, coordinate, and supervise landscape and nursery projects from inception through completion, ensuring quality standards, timelines, and customer expectations are met. Manage irrigation systems, pruning schedules, and tree care practices to promote plant health and optimal growth. Lead, train, and supervise a team of maintenance personnel, providing ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development. Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures during construction, installation, and routine maintenance activities. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of plants, materials, tools, and equipment; coordinate purchasing and procurement activities as needed. Assist with administrative and operational processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and overall nursery performance. Identify and resolve issues related to plant health, irrigation systems, equipment, and daily operations. Qualifications Minimum of five (5) years of experience in nursery management, landscape operations, or a related horticultural field, including supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of horticultural products, plant care, irrigation systems, and inventory management practices. Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and effectively manage a diverse workforce. Working knowledge of construction processes and landscape installation practices. Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot irrigation issues, plant health concerns, and operational challenges. Proficiency with basic office and administrative functions, including scheduling, recordkeeping, and communication. Relevant certifications or formal training in horticulture, landscaping, arboriculture, or a related field are highly preferred. Preferred Attributes Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Pay:
$45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
