This position is ideal for someone who loves plants and is skilled at leadership and customer service. This is a one of a kind opportunity to work in a unique environment that combines retail nursery operations with landscape and maintenance services. The Assistant Nursery Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, staff coordination, plant care and customer experience.
Responsibilities Include:
Assist General Manager with general operations and supervision of retail nursery staff. Help maintain highest level of customer service. Coordinate with landscape and maintenance elements of business to ensure success in all areas. Ensure quality control and care of live plants. Helping with merchandising and overall presentation. Assisting with marketing and social media campaigns.
Qualifications:
Strong communication and organizational skills. Leadership and/ or management experience. Strong knowledge of landscape plants, gardening principles and landscape practices for the Northwest. Customer service experience. Ability to lift approximately 40-75 lbs as needed. Ability to work weekends. Work outdoors in all forms of weather. Reliable transportation and strong work ethic Certified Professional Horticulturist (CPH) certification preferred but not required We are looking for someone who values teamwork, professionalism, creativity, and helping build a positive experience for both customers and staff.
Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
