(RIVERSIDE COUNTY) The reporting location for this position is the Chino Sector Office located at 1879 Jackson Street, Riverside, CA 92504. We are looking for a highly motivated and independent person to join our State Parks team! Under the supervision of the State Park Superintendent V, the Staff Park and Recreation Specialist (Staff PRS) has the responsibility to plan, organize, and manage the Sector's operational program. The incumbent will aid in developing budgets, management plans, oversee staff. The Staff PRS will prepare reports, correspondences, and schedules and monitor the expenditures of seasonal salaries, operating expenses, and maintenance funds for the sector. The Staff PRS will manage the protection of the sector's cultural and natural resources, real property, and programs for the purpose of efficient and effective utilization of sector resources to meet the Department of Parks and Recreation's objective of providing quality service and experiences to the public. Training and Development Assignments may be considered. Possession of a valid Class C driver's license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver's license on your application. The incumbent may be asked to travel locally, overnight, and statewide to attend trainings, conferences, and other events. Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle. The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment. This position is designated as not telework eligible.
