Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Shift Manager, this individual is primarily responsible for daily operational duties including working in the concession stand, managing baseball fields, monitoring cleanliness of the park, assisting patrons with directions, informing patrons of rules, and monitoring the safety of all visitors. Administers first aid as needed, provides general information pertaining to Crow Creek Park and maintains constant contact with the public, visitors, and patrons. The position is created to facilitate baseball and softball operations, events, and tournaments at Crow Creek Park by helping manage the concession building and fields within the complex.AREAS OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONIBILITIES
Responsible for opening, securing, and closing facility according to policy. Ensure rules are followed, around the park and on baseball fields. Assist with and report unsafe conditions to and Shift Manager as needed. Keep the concession stand and surrounding patio area clean and always maintained; cleanliness (mop, sweep, dust), bathroom checks, ensure patrons are in proper areas. Perform light field maintenance on baseball fields for tournaments and games (raking batters' boxes, removing bases for field dragging etc.) Empties trash receptacles around the park, especially near baseball fields during tournaments and games. Performs checks of the restroom facilities around Crow Creek Park. Stocks restroom supplies and cleans restrooms as necessary. Must be organized and have good customer relations and service skills, and interact with the public in a kind and courteous manner. Must be able to use a cash register and computer point-of-sale system accurately. Restock concessions, resale, and admission items as needed. Completes inventory of food, beverage, and merchandise. Offer excellent customer service to all patrons. Greets customers with a smile and respond to patron needs in a kind and courteous manner. Provide general direction and supervision around the park to both youth and adult patrons. Must have reliable transportation and be able to work all scheduled hours, including early afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Attend regular staff meetings and in-services. When necessary, must complete accurate and appropriate paperwork. Perform basic first aid and CPR/AED skills if necessary. Perform other duties as assigned.KNOWELDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Education:
Requires a level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a minimum of one (1) year of high school.Experience:
Some experience in similar environments working with children and families is desired.Interpersonal Skills:
Must be able to interpret and enforce all park rules and policies. Must be able to work with a diverse population and a variety of ages. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with the public, including the part-time and full-time staff, and be able to deal in a persuasive manner.Analytical Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Must be able to operate in an efficient and safe manner all equipment required for this position and in accordance with City policy and direction.Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Work Environment:
Employees work both in an indoor concession stand with non-climate-controlled conditions, or in outside weather conditions and is exposed to extreme heat and cold, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.WORK SCHEDULE
Work schedule will take place April through October, with the majority of hours normally occurring April - June, or as weather permits. Variable schedule working afternoon weekdays, weeknights, and weekends.REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

This position has no responsibility for the supervision of others. This is a part-time, seasonal position.
