Job Description

The Office of State Parks (OSP) serves the citizens of Louisiana and visitors by preserving and interpreting natural areas of unique or exceptional scenic value, planning, developing and operating sites that provide outdoor recreation opportunities in natural surroundings, preserving and interpreting historical and scientific sites of statewide importance and administering intergovernmental programs related to outdoor recreation and trails. The purpose of this position is to complete various physical, custodial, and/or maintenance tasks to include cleaning, removing litter and trash, cleaning various facilities, operating equipment, and assisting with the public. Job Duties:
Performs custodial duties necessary to maintain clean and sanitary conditions of facilities. Cleans interior and exterior of facilities at site. Assist in upkeep of site grounds and facilities. Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools. Assists in collection of appropriate fees from site visitors. Provides a high level of customer service and assists customers with inquiries. Assists with maintaining grounds such as mowing grass, collecting litter, general maintenance, and emptying trash receptacles. Requires the ability to stoop, bend, balance, kneel, crouch, sit, stand, and walk on a regular daily basis.

This position will be filled as a part-time Classified WAE , limited to 1,245 working hours in a 12 month period. •Starting Hourly Pay varies, depending on experience.•
