Job Description

PARK-9 Dog Bar is a new, unique destination for dogs and their pet parents. We are looking for caring Dog Park Rangers who are willing to help launch a new concept in dog and human hospitality. We have meticulously designed over 10,000 square feet of bar and indoor park space to create a fun, clean, and safe environment where dogs and humans alike are welcome. Customers can choose their own adventure and take advantage of our multiple on- and off-leash areas (both in and outdoors). Our 5,000 square foot indoor park, featuring a full-service bar, is climate-controlled for year-round enjoyment . Reporting to the Dog Park Manager, the Dog Park Ranger is responsible for providing a safe, healthy, and stimulating environment for dogs during their dog park visits. This position requires excellent customer service skills, as well as knowledge of dog behavior and care, and ultimately a love of and respect for our canine customers. We do require a positive attitude, outgoing personality, dedication to providing an unparalleled experience for our clientele, and, of course, a love of dogs. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Dog Park
  • Maintain a clean environment within the dog care area, including cleaning up & disposing of any waste
  • Monitor behavior of dogs within the Dog Park, to ensure maximum safety of both dogs and patrons
  • Alert owners to any dog behavior that is problematic or undesirable
  • Observe dogs' behaviors and proactively intercede to avoid aggressive or problematic behaviors
  • May be required to check in and check out dogs according to established needed procedures, including monitoring and restocking supplies Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Minimum of 1 year professional experience of dog-handling, preferably in group environment Basic knowledge of dog body language High School graduate or GED required Demonstrated excellence in Customer Service Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing to staff, leadership and customers Demonstrated ability to supervise dogs, while ensuring their safety Ability to work well within a team environment Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to multi-task and handle stress Able to work in a bar atmosphere, loud sounds, and warehouse conditions Will be required to pass training course upon hire Physical Abilities • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
Physical stamina to play with, exercise and manage dogs
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
