  • Temporary, Part-time Courtesy Boat Inspector (Seasonal/Part Time) We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Courtesy Boat Inspectors.
In this role, you will help protect local waterways by inspecting boats for invasive species and educating the public on safe and environmentally responsible boating practices. This is an outdoor, public-facing position ideal for individuals who enjoy working with the public, value environmental conservation, and are comfortable working outdoors in a physically active setting. Responsibilities Greet boaters and visitors in a friendly and professional manner Conduct inspections of watercrafts for invasive aquatic species, including variable leaf milfoil Educate boaters on environmental regulations, safety practices, and waterway protection Maintain accurate records of inspections using digital or manual systems Provide general information and assistance to the public as needed Qualifications Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions Reliable transportation to and from the job site Work Environment/ Hours Outdoor setting at boat launches or water access points Friday 2-6, Saturday 10-6, Sunday 10-6 Interaction with a wide range of community members Active role requiring standing, walking, and light physical activity Benefits Paid position $18
