Summer Youth Park Worker Benton Harbor, MI 49022 Temporary, Seasonal, Full-time Temporary, Seasonal, Full-time Summer Youth Park Worker Supervised by : Summer Youth Park Supervisor
GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the close supervision of the Youth Park Supervisor, this position is responsible for keeping City Parks clean and presentable for the summer. The Summer Youth Park Workers will become knowledgeable of City Park policies, rules and regulations. He/she will work at several parks in the city. They will have the ability to interact courteously and professionally with the public and work cooperatively with other City personnel when necessary; and have the ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
: Pick up debris Minor Repairs Check for damage to parks Trash removal Check parks for graffiti Clean up after events
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school student/graduate or equivalent; previous work experience and/or volunteer work
Job Location & Hours :
Duties are performed at parks throughout the City. This job requires movement throughout all parks. Also requires working outdoors, perhaps in unpleasant weather conditions and could include working on some weekends. This is a temporary, seasonal position (9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., June 15th - July 24th).
