$17.31•$19.47 Valid Class D Driver's License issued in the US is required. Eligibility determined by FDL's insurance company. High school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred. Ability to use power and hand tools effectively and safely is required. Ability to trim trees, cut lawns, landscape, and otherwise keep grounds in good physical condition is required. Knowledge of computer applications to include work processing, databases and/or data entry, spreadsheets and Microsoft Outlook is required. Knowledge of native American communities, culture, customs, and beliefs is preferred. Experience with lawn mowers, weed whips, rakes, shovels, chainsaws is desired. Experience in cutting and splitting wood is desired. Operations are conducted seven days a week and on holidays. Position requires on•call availability. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required. Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required. Attention to detail and accuracy is required. Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved. Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation's Personnel Policies. Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks. Travel is required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required. Ability to move, climb, and work on all types of uneven surfaces and ladders at heights up to 30 feet is required. Walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, pushing, pulling are required. Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including work in adverse weather conditions. Performs preparatory work for maintenance activities, including gathering equipment, materials and supplies, loading and unloading materials, and laying out materials and equipment for projects. Performs a variety of routine physical labor tasks, depending upon area of assignment, including pulling weeds, picking up litter, raking leaves and debris, emptying trash bins, and performing minor janitorial and custodial work. Performs cleaning and general maintenance to bathroom facilities. Replace broken equipment or coordinate the repairs. Ensure the facilities are clean at all times and available for public use. Performs cleanup at end of the day or when the job is completed, including picking up tools, spills, debris and proper disposal, cleaning work areas and performing touch up work as needed. Assist Park goers and inform them of rules and regulations that may apply. Keep Park recreation facilities and trails in good condition for public use. Documents names of individuals entering the park when procedure call for. Report violations of park rules to Park Coordinator, document violations and provide reports to appropriate personnel. Report illegal activity to law enforcement, document violations and provide reports to appropriate personnel. Travel to multiple work locations throughout the day. Appropriate work attire is required. Must attend all mandatory department trainings. Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees and/or clients. Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems. Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers. Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community. Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies. Maintains a clean and organized work area.
