55 For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States. NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, technical, and other professional skills that support the Bureau of Land Management through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). This position supports the Bureau of Land Management Billings Field Office. This is an on-site position. Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. This position is currently funded for an estimate of 551 hours. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an "at-will" relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

An "Enrollee" is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An "Enrollee" is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions. Duties:
The BIFO Emergency Recreation Resource enrollee will focus on Enforcement and Public Safety, Site Maintenance, Visitor Engagement, and Event Compliance while operating various types of equipment, documenting incidents that occur on-site and leverage their expertise to ensure smooth transitions and precise execution of tasks. Site patrolling and maintenance 70% Visitor Contact 30%
Qualifications:
Minimum of 15 year(s) of experience in Outdoor Recreation or Law Enforcement
OR BA/BS
Degree in Outdoor Recreation, Natural Resource Management, Wildlife Biology, Rangeland Management, or Criminal Justice with minimum additional experience of 10 year(s) in Outdoor Recreation or Law Enforcement

Health and Safety Considerations:
Defensive Driving, Bear Spray training, and UTV training if needed. BLM will provide the courses.
Required Safety Gear:
Leather Gloves, UTV operation requires pants, long sleeves, glasses and a helmet.
Safety Gear Use:
Gloves for picking up trash and debris left at sites. Physical requirements: Able to walk on varying terrain and in varying weather conditions. Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.
