Job Description
Position Summary Interns at Tioga-Hammond & Cowanesque Lakes will assist US Army Corps of Engineer Park Rangers with water safety outreach, and visitor related duties. The Tioga-Hammond & Cowanesque Lake project consists of over 8,000 acres of land and water and receives about 200,000 visitors a year. Work completed by SCA Interns will directly contribute to the safety and enjoyment of park visitors, as well as the conservation and protection of natural resources at the project. Daily work will include interacting with the public and assisting Park Ranger and Natural Resource Specialists with administering the water safety and recreation program. Interns will be exposed to and have an opportunity to participate in support of additional programs such as Flood Risk Management (FRM) and work with local partners for outreach. - August 21, 2026 Key Duties and Responsibilities The position tasks at these lake projects are to provide interpretative assistance in the implementation of the Corps' Water Safety Program by presenting water safety programs throughout the park and at special events.
