Assistant Park Ranger On-site

Under general supervision, assists with overall park operation, administrative, and maintenance duties in accordance with the Department. Collecting and accounting for revenue Routine maintenance, including trash collection and cleaning facilities Assist with operations to include public use areas, retail operations, and other park facilities. Assist with maintaining a safe work environment. Assist with reservations of rental facilities. Minimal Park Interpretation Employee will be required to live in designated park housing to provide for security, safety and emergency response

MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work flexible and rotating schedule, 40 hours per week (8 hours per day), including most weekends and holidays. Associate degree and 1 year related experience This position requires medium to heavy lifting, walking and standing on uneven terrain, crawling and working at heights. Exposure to weather conditions, cleaning agents and other materials used in maintaining park facilities and grounds. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Residency in agency-provided housing is required. Employee will be required to sign a residency agreement, which outlines the expectations for rent and utilities.

Hourly Wage:

$17.00 / Hour This is a part-time, NON-permanent field position which is eligible for 40 hours a week. Rotating schedule, 8 hours per day, including most weekends and holidays.
