This is accomplished by serving as a gate attendant; collecting fees from campers and general park picnic fees and monitoring park entrance security. Other duties include interacting with other City employees and the general public. Essential Job Functions This information is intended to be descriptive of the key responsibilities of the position. The following examples do not identify all duties performed by any single incumbent. This position has responsibilities that require lifting up to 10 pounds on occasion. Collects entrance fees by informing customers of park rules; charging customers the proper entrance or activity fee; ensuring that proper receipt and forms are given to the customer and maintaining accurate records of transactions. Provides customer service by having frequent interaction with citizens and park patrons; answering questions; and providing directions. Provides security by monitoring and observing activities for the safety and security of citizens and patrons. All other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager within your department/division. Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality for the assigned work hours is essential. Minimum Qualifications Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may qualify. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:
Education:
Work requires the ability to read and understand written instructions, to understand simple processes and the routine operation of machines. Level of knowledge equivalent to less than high school or equivalency.
