Pest Control Technician - Optimex Pest Control Job Overview Optimex Pest Control is growing, and we're looking for technicians who take pride in doing the job right—not just getting it done. This isn't a "quick spray and go" company. We run high-standard, professional service routes where attention to detail, consistency, and accountability matter. If you're the type who cuts corners, this won't be a fit. If you like working hard, staying busy, and getting recognized for quality work—keep reading. You'll be responsible for servicing residential properties, performing full interior/exterior treatments, identifying pest issues, and delivering real results for customers who expect a professional service—not a rushed one. What You'll Do Perform full-service pest treatments (not just base sprays) Treat foundation areas and surrounding zones thoroughly Eaves, windows, garage doors, porches, and entry points Fence lines, vegetation zones, and yard activity Identify pest activity, entry points, and conducive conditions Apply products using professional-grade equipment (power rigs, not just backpack sprayers) Knock down spider webs, treat wasp nests, and address visible pest issues on-site Complete interior and garage treatments when requested Educate customers on what you're doing and why—clear, confident communication Maintain accurate service records and notes Drive a company truck and manage your daily route efficiently What Makes This Role Different We audit service quality (including video/photo review) Minimum service expectations—no rushed or incomplete jobs High accountability with consistent routes and steady work We stand behind our service (free re-service if needed) What We're Looking For Prior pest control experience preferred (we'll train the right person with strong work ethic) Valid driver's license with clean record Ability to work independently and stay on schedule Physically capable of working outdoors in Arizona conditions Strong attention to detail—this is not a "rush through it" job Good communication skills with customers Reliable, consistent, and takes ownership of their work Bonus (Not Required) Pest control license (or ability to obtain one) Sales or upselling experience (weed control, mosquito, etc.) Experience running a route independently Why Optimex Consistent work year-round Clear expectations—no guessing what "good" looks like Opportunity to grow into higher-paying roles or specialized services Work with a team that values operations just as much as sales If you're looking for an easy job, this isn't it.
