Pest Control Technician/Sales Representative Hooke Termite & Pest Services - 5.0 Upland, CA Job Details Full-time $25 - $27 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Paid training Fuel card Parental leave 401(k) matching Employee discount Professional development assistance Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Customer communication Interpersonal skills Outdoor work Driver's License Customer relationship management Pest Control License Full Job Description Pest Control Technician / Branch 2 Field Rep Hooke Termite & Pest Services — Upland, CA | Full-Time About Us Hooke Termite & Pest Services is a family-owned, full-service pest control and termite company serving the San Gabriel Valley, Inland Empire, and greater Southern California. We handle everything in-house — inspections, treatments, wood repairs, and pest control — with a reputation built on honest pricing, quality workmanship, and no surprises. Our owner has 25 years in the industry and built this business from the ground up. We do things right the first time, and we expect the same from our team. What This Role Is This is not just a route tech position. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their territory and treats it like their own business within ours. You will manage your own recurring schedule, communicate directly with customers to confirm upcoming services, inspect properties, identify additional needs, and present solutions on the spot. You will follow up on open bids, see every job through to completion, and keep the office informed throughout the day. When dispatch needs you, you respond. When a customer has a question, you handle it. When the day is done, the work is done right. If you are the kind of person who checks in before the day starts, stays in contact with the office, and does not let things fall through the cracks — you will thrive here. We hold ourselves to a high standard and we are looking for someone who holds themselves to one too. Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute a recurring residential and light commercial pest control route
  • Schedule monthly service visits and notify customers in advance
  • Inspect properties at each visit and identify pest activity, conditions, and additional service needs
  • Prepare and present bids for additional work directly to customers
  • Follow up on open bids until closed or formally declined
  • Execute rodent control programs including trap placement, monitoring visits, and removal
  • See every job through from first visit to completion — no dropped balls
  • Check in with the office each morning and maintain communication throughout the day
  • Respond promptly to dispatch requests and office communications
  • Follow all treatment plans and chemical safety protocols
  • Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and professional appearance at all times
  • Deliver a consistently excellent experience to every customer on every visit
  • Generate Google reviews from satisfied customers What We're Looking For
  • Active California Structural Pest Control Branch 2 license required
  • Valid California driver's license required
  • Self-driven — you manage your day, your route, and your customer relationships without being micromanaged
  • Strong communicator — with customers, with the office, and with dispatch
  • Comfortable inspecting, bidding, and following up on additional work
  • Reliable and punctual every single day
  • Physically capable — lifting, crawling, and working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at every stop This role suits someone who wants to grow a route, build customer relationships, and be the face of the company in the field — not someone looking to clock in and clock out. Compensation
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience and license status — discussed during the interview
  • Performance-based commission on new service agreements and additional work sold
  • $20 bonus per verified 5-star Google review
  • Additional performance bonuses available
  • Full compensation details are covered in the interview process Schedule and Details
  • Full-time, Monday through Friday
  • Occasional Saturday availability is a plus
  • Company vehicle provided
  • Service area: Santa Monica to Yucaipa, south to South Orange County How to Apply If you hold a Branch 2 license, take ownership of your work, and want to be a key part of a growing company — we want to hear from you.
Applications without an active Branch 2 license will not be considered. To be considered, all applicants must complete our online application prior to the interview. Click the link below or copy and paste it into your browser: https://pdf.ac/pSGr0ALqGk Apply now. We're actively interviewing.
