As a Pest Control Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining healthy, pest-free environments by applying pesticides and fertilizers, identifying and addressing pest and plant issues, and ensuring safe and effective treatments. This position offers the opportunity to work independently and as part of a supportive team, with a focus on professionalism, safety, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Service commercial clients along an established route, applying pesticides and fertilizers as needed Hand-spread fertilizer in beds and on turf areas Operate and calibrate fertilizer spreaders, including Z-Sprayer and manual equipment Mix chemicals at correct rates and ensure proper application using spray truck equipment Perform pre- and post-inspections on vehicles and equipment Deploy safety cones and follow all safety protocols during treatments Identify common plants, insects, diseases, and weeds, and determine appropriate corrective actions Complete accurate paperwork, including recording times, products used, rates, and inventory Blow treated areas to prevent staining and apply iron-out as needed to remove stains Maintain established production rates for granular and spray applications Prevent cross-contamination of tanks and chemical mixes Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience Basic Technician Training BMP Certification Ability to read and comprehend product labels and mixing rates Knowledge of temperature and humidity sensitivities for chemicals and additives Ability to identify common plants, insects, diseases, and weeds Strong attention to detail and ability to complete accurate documentation Ability to work independently and as part of a team Energetic, proactive, and willing to take initiative in a growing organization Good communication and listening skills Ability to travel to designated areas and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and handling materials by lifting, pushing, bending, and stretching
