Join our team of Mosquito Management Technician in ridding the county of known pests - all from the convenience of a provided truck. In this role you'll treat rural and urban areas alike - we provide paid training and have room for both growth and advancement. Apply today and know that your career makes a difference. About the Position In this role, you will... Monitor and provide treatment for the reduction of mosquitoes in assigned areas Locate sources (larval habitats) of mosquitoes, obtaining GPS readings and photos of the habitats Obtain written permission from owners for routine inspections and treatments on private property Maintain data for assigned areas of responsibility in the MapVision Database or other approved systems Conduct investigations in response to customer service requests, set and collect traps, conduct landing rates, and conduct routine inspections Help perform maintenance on equipment, vehicles, and/or MMS Facilities Speak with customers and provide literature on mosquitoes and prevention Monitor environmental factors, including wind speed, rainfall, and/or tidal flooding Serve as team leader for
MMS Aides Work Hours:
Monday - Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. ( no weekends! )
About You Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Florida Driver's License at time of hire Must pass Core and Public Health Pesticide Applicator exams within six (6) months of employment ( We can help with this !)
Physical Demands:

Passing Substance Screening:
This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.
About Everything Else Starting Pay :
$20.10 (Step 1); Potential higher pay (steps) for those with multiple years of experience.
