Pest Control and Nuisance Wildlife Technician (2YR EXP) Lenexa, KS 66215 $18.50 - $28.00 an hour - Full-time $18.50 - $28.00 an hour - Full-time Position Summary The Wildlife Technician at Rock Pest Control is responsible for safely and effectively handling wildlife removal, exclusion, and damage repair for both residential and commercial customers. This role focuses on identifying, trapping, removing, and preventing nuisance animals such as bats, raccoons, squirrels, opossums, skunks, and birds. Wildlife Technicians are the hands-on experts who execute the physical work after inspections—sealing entry points, repairing damage, sanitizing affected areas, and ensuring long-term exclusion. This position requires physical stamina, technical precision, and a commitment to safety, teamwork, and customer satisfaction. What Success Looks Like Wildlife jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to Rock Pest Control's quality standards. Customers experience clear communication, professionalism, and confidence in the work performed. Exclusion and remediation work is thorough, durable, and prevents re-entry of animals. Traps, materials, and vehicles are clean, organized, and properly maintained. The technician represents Rock Pest Control professionally, with respect and care for the customer's property. Objectives Safely trap, remove, and relocate nuisance wildlife in compliance with all state and local regulations. Identify entry points, nesting areas, and damage, and provide appropriate exclusion and remediation services. Combine inspection and repair work to ensure long-term prevention of animal re-entry. Perform sealing, screening, and structural repair work, including the use of ladders and lifts for multi-story buildings. Execute sanitization and cleanup of contaminated or damaged areas following wildlife removal. Communicate clearly with customers, explaining findings, services, and follow-up recommendations. Document all activities, materials used, and work performed in FieldRoutes with detailed notes and photos. Collaborate closely with the Wildlife Inspector / Salesperson and Branch Manager to ensure efficient scheduling and job completion. Maintain truck cleanliness and ensure tools, traps, and materials are stocked and organized daily. Follow all safety, PPE, and equipment handling procedures while working in attics, roofs, or other elevated areas. Provide support on complex or large-scale wildlife jobs, assisting other team members as needed. Uphold Rock Pest Control's commitment to professionalism, customer care, and quality workmanship.
