Are you looking for a summer job? Then our SWAT Mosquito Technician opening might be the right fit for you! We are looking for technicians who enjoy working with their hands, working outside, traveling, and meeting new people! Our SWAT Team treats both mosquitoes and ticks in the Greater Baltimore Area. When the season ends in mid-October, there is the opportunity to transition over to General Pest for winter service. As a SWAT Mosquito Technician, your responsibilities include: driving between locations in the Greater Baltimore Area (including, but not limited to Baltimore and Anne Arundel County ), performing pesticide treatments, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs, and communicating with customers and office staff to address pest issues. All technicians must hold a valid driver's license (not provisional or suspended) and must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. This position is generally Monday-Friday , with occasional Sundays during the warmer months. The initial training is 1 week long and is completely paid! After you have completed your training, you will report to the Owings Mills branch each morning by 7:45am and hit the road in your company vehicle . You will become eligible for a take-home vehicle after 1 year! During the busiest part of the season, you might potentially be working as late as 5:30/6pm. Any time worked over 40 hours a week is compensated as overtime pay. The salary for this position starts at $19 an hour and increases as you build your skills.
