Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Mosquito Control Specialist and become a vital part of our mission to create safe, enjoyable outdoor environments. In this energetic role, you will implement mosquito management strategies through targeted treatments and habitat reduction, helping communities enjoy outdoor activities free from nuisance and health risks. Your proactive approach will contribute to healthier ecosystems and improved quality of life for residents and visitors alike. Duties Conduct mosquito surveillance to identify breeding sites and mosquito populations across designated areas. Apply environmentally safe larvicides and adulticides using hand tools, power tools, or farm machinery to control mosquito populations effectively. Inspect and maintain equipment such as sprayers, foggers, and other pest control tools to ensure optimal performance. Educate property owners and community members on mosquito prevention techniques, including habitat reduction and landscaping practices. Drive company vehicles safely between treatment sites, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols. Collaborate with landscaping, lawn care, farming, or agriculture teams to identify potential mosquito breeding habitats on large properties or farms. Document treatment activities, site conditions, and results accurately in logs for compliance and reporting purposes. Requirements Prior experience or knowledge in pest control, lawn care, farming, landscaping, or agriculture is highly desirable. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, farm machinery, and other equipment safely and efficiently. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; comfortable driving company vehicles over varied terrains. Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with excellent observational skills for identifying mosquito habitats and monitoring treatment effectiveness. Effective communication skills to educate clients and team members about mosquito control methods. Willingness to obtain any necessary pest control certifications or licenses required by local regulations.
