Recurring Tech/Construction Assistant M & M Environmental New York, NY Job Details Full-time $22 - $25 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Problem-solving Customer service problem-solving Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Recurring Control Technician to join our team in Long Island City. This position focuses on scheduled, preventative service visits across residential and commercial sites throughout New York City. Individuals with or without a driver's license are encouraged to apply — we operate both walking routes and driving routes. Duties
  • Inspect properties on scheduled visits: Visit residential and commercial clients at predetermined intervals to check for signs of pest activity, including insects, rodents, entry points, traps, and bait stations.
  • Apply preventive treatments: Apply deterrents such as baits, traps, insecticides, rodent-control solutions, and seal entry points, even when no active infestation is present, to prevent pest establishment or return.
  • Identify and resolve pest issues: When signs of infestation are detected, assess the extent, determine appropriate treatment methods, and apply chemical or non-chemical controls for pests such as ants, rodents, termites, and cockroaches.
  • Document services: Record inspections, treatments, observations, and recommendations, ensuring accurate and compliant documentation in electronic or paper systems.
  • Educate and guide clients: Explain work performed, highlight risk factors (sanitation issues, structural concerns, entry points), and provide guidance on preventive practices to reduce future infestations.
  • Maintain equipment and vehicles: Ensure sprayers, traps, bait stations, and protective gear remain in proper working condition. If assigned a vehicle, maintain safe driving practices and keep the vehicle clean and service-ready. Skills
  • Ability to work shift schedules and be available for weekend assignments when required.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and comfort working independently in the field.
  • Ability to walk extensively and work in diverse environmental conditions.
  • Physically capable of going up and down stairs regularly and lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • A valid driver's license is preferred for driving routes, but not required — non-drivers are welcome to apply.
If you are dependable, customer-focused, and ready to grow in the pest-control field, we invite you to apply.
