Job Description
Pest Control Technician
Will Train Location :
Southampton, NY (coverage area is Oakdale to East LI)- Please only apply for this position if you live EAST of Oakdale, NY.
Shift:
10:00a- 8:00p (flexible to start after rush hour)
Pay :
$21- $24 / hour (Pay dependent upon experience & pest licenses)
VERY IMPORTANT
if offered job, the training you will receive will be closest branch to your residence (either Oakdale or Southampton). Once fully trained you are expected to cover Long Island east from Oakdale as needed. Your work clock starts 45 min. into your commute to and from work. After 30-45 days of training and passing a driving test you may be issued a company vehicle with gas card at that point you will travel from your home to first call of the day. Our workday starts at the branch location and/or your first call at 5:30 a.m.General Summary:
The Pest Control Technician provides pest management services to homeowners and businesses. The Pest Control Technician is proactive in solving customer pest problems in a friendly and professional manner, provides constructive and accurate feedback to customers, suggests additional company services to customers when appropriate, takes advantage of opportunities to exceed client expectations, and delivers pest management services in accordance with company policy and governmental requirements. To perform this job successfully, the Pest Control Technician must be able to adhere by the below listed requirements. Individuals with landscaping experience are welcome!Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Organize and run route in the most efficient manner. Maintain and apply appropriate skill in expected area(s) of expertise; follow company policies and procedures. Submit paperwork accurately, thoroughly and on time. Communicate effectively (verbal/written) in a timely manner with peers, clients, and management. Operate company vehicle safely and maintain vehicle to comply with DOT guidelines.Basic Qualifications:
Communicates effectively with internal and external customers. Read, write, speak, and comprehend English. Able to work after 5 PM, and/or on weekends. Valid New York state motor vehicle operator's license (driver's license) No citations for driving while under the influence within the last three years. Must have at least 3 years of driving experience to drive a company vehicle . High school diploma or equivalent. Authorized to work in the United States.Essential Job Functions:
Knowledge of pest control products, services, and treatments a plus. Ability to use required personal protective equipment. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.MUST LOVE THE GREAT OUTDOORS
