Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Field Service Technician who is excited to learn both pest control and lighting installation. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing company where you'll receive cross-training in multiple service lines, develop valuable technical skills, and have a clear path for advancement. No prior pest control experience is required. We can train the right candidate. What You'll Do Pest Control Services Perform residential and commercial pest control treatments Conduct property inspections and identify pest issues Apply products safely and according to company standards Educate customers on prevention and treatment recommendations Maintain detailed service records Lighting Installation Services Install permanent roofline lighting systems Install landscape lighting systems Install and remove seasonal holiday lighting Work safely on ladders and around residential and commercial properties Troubleshoot lighting systems and perform service work General Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer service Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment Follow safety procedures and company standards Communicate effectively with customers and team members Represent our brands professionally at all times Licensing & Training As part of this position, technicians will be trained to perform professional pest control services. Within the first several months of employment, employees will be expected to: Study for and obtain a Tennessee Category 7 Industrial, Institutional, Structural, and Health Related Pest Control Applicator License Complete all required company training and ride-alongs Learn proper pest identification, inspection techniques, treatment methods, and safety procedures Maintain all required certifications and continuing education requirements AER Home Services will provide training materials, on-the-job coaching, and pay all exam fees for qualified employees. No prior pest control experience is required. We are looking for candidates who are coachable, dependable, and willing to learn. What We're Looking For Required Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to lift 50+ pounds Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions Comfortable working on ladders and roofs Strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to study for and successfully obtain a Tennessee Category 7 Pest Control Applicator License Reliable transportation to and from work Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Preferred Pest control experience Construction, electrical, HVAC, landscaping, maintenance, or home services experience Experience using hand and power tools Customer service experience What Success Looks Like You are someone who: Shows up on time and ready to work Takes ownership of your results Learns quickly and follows systems Treats customers and teammates with respect Wants to grow professionally and personally Takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service Growth Opportunities We believe in promoting from within.
