About the
Role:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Pest Control Technician to support our poultry farm operations. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining pest control strategies to ensure a clean, safe, and compliant farm environment. This is a hands-on position with opportunities for advancement in pay and responsibility based on performance and tenure.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform regular inspections and treatments primarily for rodents, but also inspecting insects and other pests within poultry housing and surrounding areas Monitor pest activity and apply appropriate control methods Maintain accurate logs and service reports per company and regulatory standards Safely handle and apply pesticides in compliance with all safety and environmental guidelines Coordinate with farm staff and supervisors to minimize disruption to poultry operations Respond to emergency pest issues as needed, including occasional nights or weekends Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order Follow all biosecurity and safety protocols to protect bird health and farm operations
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Comfortable working in poultry barns and outdoor farm environments Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varied conditions Previous experience in pest control, agriculture, or poultry operations is a plus, but not required—training provided
