This role serves as the first point of contact for homeowners, providing professional recommendations and customized treatment solutions while delivering excellent customer service. Home Inspectors work closely with service technicians and sales teams to ensure customers receive effective pest prevention and control services. Key ResponsibilitiesInspection & Assessment Perform comprehensive interior and exterior home inspections for signs of pest activity, structural vulnerabilities, and sanitation concerns. Identify common household pests including termites, rodents, ants, cockroaches, mosquitoes, and wildlife intrusions. Assess environmental and structural conditions that could lead to infestations, such as moisture buildup, wood damage, cracks, or gaps. Document inspection findings accurately using company software and reporting tools. Customer Consultation Explain inspection results clearly and professionally to homeowners. Recommend appropriate pest control, prevention, and treatment solutions based on inspection findings. Answer customer questions regarding pest behavior, treatment processes, and preventive maintenance. Build trust and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service. Sales & Service Support Prepare service estimates and treatment proposals aligned with customer needs. Collaborate with technicians to coordinate treatment schedules and follow-up services. Support company sales goals by identifying additional service opportunities when appropriate. Maintain knowledge of company products, services, and industry best practices. Compliance & Safety Follow company safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry guidelines during inspections. Maintain accurate records of inspections, recommendations, and customer interactions. Ensure all activities comply with local, state, and federal pest control regulations. Safely operate company vehicles and inspection equipment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage daily schedules efficiently. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Basic computer and mobile device proficiency. Preferred Skills Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of residential construction and pest biology. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Sales and customer relationship experience. Ability to explain technical information in a customer-friendly manner. Physical Requirements Ability to walk, bend, crawl, climb ladders, and access confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces. Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in various environmental conditions and around pest-control materials. Work Environment Field-based role involving daily travel to residential properties. Combination of indoor and outdoor work environments. May require occasional evening or weekend appointments depending on customer schedules.
