The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing tree care and maintenance tasks, ensuring the health and safety of trees while providing excellent service to our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of tree trimming techniques, rigging, and the operation of bucket trucks. A passion for horticulture and landscaping is essential to thrive in this position. Duties Climb trees using appropriate safety equipment and techniques to perform trimming, pruning, and removal as needed. Operate bucket trucks safely to access high branches for maintenance tasks. Utilize rigging techniques to lower branches safely and efficiently during tree care operations. Conduct assessments of tree health and provide recommendations for care and maintenance. Collaborate with team members on landscape maintenance projects, including lawn care and general landscaping duties. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Document work performed on each job site for record-keeping and client communication. Skills Proficiency in rigging techniques for safe tree climbing and branch removal. Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for mapping tree locations and conditions is a plus. Familiarity with bucket operation and safe practices when using bucket trucks. Strong knowledge of tree care practices, including trimming, pruning, and disease management. Background in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or horticulture is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently. Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
