Full-Time Job Summary Midwest Radon Services is an industry leader in radon and soil gas mitigation, serving residential and commercial properties across the Midwest. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Radon Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the installation and maintenance of radon mitigation systems, train and supervise technicians, and ensure exceptional service quality and safety. Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & Maintenance Lead the installation of radon and soil gas mitigation systems in both residential and commercial settings. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of existing systems. Ensure all installations meet industry standards and company protocols. Team Leadership Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, offering guidance and support. Assign daily tasks and oversee the quality of work performed. Lead by example, fostering a positive, safety-focused, and results-driven work environment. Quality Control Conduct detailed inspections of installations and maintenance work to ensure top-tier quality. Promptly identify and address any deficiencies or issues. Maintain comprehensive records of installations, inspections, and system maintenance. Customer Interaction Communicate effectively with clients, explaining the radon mitigation process and addressing their concerns. Educate clients on the importance of radon mitigation and system upkeep. Provide professional and timely responses to inquiries and concerns. Compliance & Safety Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations governing radon mitigation. Enforce company safety protocols and conduct regular safety training with the team. Technical Expertise Stay informed about the latest developments in radon and soil gas mitigation technology and best practices. Provide technical support and guidance to team members. Assist in refining and enhancing company procedures and protocols.
QualificationsEducation & Licensing:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must obtain an IEMA Radon Mitigation Technician License by the end of the 90-day probationary period. Additional certifications or technical training in radon mitigation are preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction-related fields such as plumbing, electrical, or concrete work is required. At least 1 year of experience in radon mitigation is preferred. Previous supervisory or leadership experience is a plus.
Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of radon mitigation systems and installation techniques. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Effective communication and customer service skills. Proficiency in using radon testing equipment and tools. Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
$57,200 - $72,800 per year, depending on experience.
Hourly Rate:
$27.50 - $35.00/hour, with weekly opportunities for overtime.
Probationary Rate:
$23/hour until licensed. 4-
Day Workweek:
