Job Description
Facilities Alarm Monitoring Technician Night shift available. 12-hour shifts: 6:00pm-6:30am Week 1: Monday & Tuesday ON | Wednesday & Thursday OFF | Friday, Saturday, Sunday ON Week 2: Monday & Tuesday OFF | Wednesday & Thursday ON | Friday, Saturday, Sunday OFF 84 hours total in the biweekly period (20 hours of built-in overtime) The first few weeks will be regular training weeks on the day shift before going to the 2 week schedule
Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Facilities and Utilities Alarm Monitoring Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring alarms within the control room environment and conducting field inspections to ensure the proper functioning of facilities and utilities equipment. This role is critical to maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring the safety and reliability of our facilities.Key Responsibilities:
Alarm Monitoring:
Monitor alarms and alerts from various facilities and utilities systems within the control Respond promptly to alarm notifications, assessing the severity and taking appropriateField Inspections:
Conduct physical inspections of facilities and utilities equipment to verify alarm conditions and ensure proper operation. Perform routine checks on equipment asTroubleshooting and Resolution:
Diagnose issues identified through alarms or field inspections and implement corrective Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve complexDocumentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate logs of alarm events, actions taken, and equipment Prepare reports on system performance, alarm trends, and maintenanceCompliance and Safety:
Ensure all monitoring and maintenance activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe workingQualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent Technical certification or degree in a related fieldExperience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities management, utilities monitoring, or related Experience with alarm monitoring systems and control roomSkills and Knowledge:
Strong understanding of facilities and utilities systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Proficiency in using alarm monitoring software and diagnostic Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of aPhysical Requirements:
