Job Overview The Tree Service Team Member plays a critical role in supporting safe, efficient tree operations. This position works closely with the tree crew to manage debris, operate small equipment as needed, and maintain job site safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working outdoors in a physically demanding environment. Responsibilities and Duties Support tree crew by feeding brush and debris into the chipper safely and efficiently Assist the tree climber and/or Team Leader with roping and rigging as necessary Use chainsaws to cut branches and smaller tree sections for chipping or loading onto trucks Load and unload brush, logs, and debris for hauling and disposal Operate small equipment, including Avant loaders, to move and stage larger brush and materials Utilize various hand and power tools including rakes, shovels, leaf blowers, etc. to clean the site Assist with site cleanup to ensure job sites are left clean and professional Safely operate company trucks when properly licensed Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and job site protocols Communicate effectively with team members to maintain workflow and safety Perform routine maintenance and inspections of tools and equipment Conduct Job Site Analyses (JSA) at each work location to identify hazards, assess risk, and implement necessary safety measures in accordance with company and regulatory safety standards Assist with other tree service or landscape-related tasks as needed Other duties as assigned Job Requirements Prior experience in tree service, landscaping, or construction preferred, but not required Comfortable using chainsaws and hand tools (training provided if needed) Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude Work long hours and respond to emergency situations, as needed Ability to lift and move materials weighing 50+ pounds Possess and maintain a valid Michigan Driver's license.
