Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Hitchcock Tree Removal is seeking a full-time sawyer and equipment operator with 3-4 years of experience to work with our hazard tree removal and forestry thinning crew. We are locally owned and are looking for individuals who are: responsible, driven, hard-working (in all weather conditions), team player and detail-oriented.RESPONSIBILITIES
- 3-4 years of equipment operating experience. Job requires operation of mini excavator, tracked skid steer and tracked and tow behind chippers.
- 3-4 years of sawing experience with felling and thinning trees.
- Drag and chip brush, and hand pile for burning when equipment can't be used.
- Set up warning signs, flags and barriers to protect public and employees.
- Relay hand signals and direct traffic when necessary.
- Keep work area and trucks clean and orderly.
- Inspecting and maintenance on all PPE, rigging, and tools or equipment
- Ability to get class A CDL.
- Drive and back vehicles towing trailers.
- Maintain and grease equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment. Always work in compliance with HTR's safety rules while performing all trimming and felling duties
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Able to lift in excess of 70 lbs,

- Must show pride in themselves and the work which they perform.
- Must be able to think critically
- Must possess a clean, valid drivers license.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work starting location
- Must have at least 3+ year(s) of experience in tree care operations.
- Must pass background check and drug test.
Work Location:
80% Local Work (within 50 miles of Missoula) and 20% travel to greater Western MT regionJob Type:

$25.00- $32.
