Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities Include Essential Duties:
Properly maintains tools and equipment used to work around energized power lines Identifies due diligence and assesses tree failure risk Performs ground operations and equipment usage Demonstrates ability to identify tree species, characteristics of trees, and if it has diseased and/or pest problems Performs tree pruning, tree removal functions, brush chipping, and stump grinding Operates and maintains tree-trimming equipment Sprays trees to treat diseased or unhealthy trees, including mixing chemicals and calibrating spray equipment Provides training to other trimmers Duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice What You'll Bring to the Team Journeyman level required; additional experience is a plus Experience with a tree care/maintenance program Possession of a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record per Company policy Will be required to pass a DOT physical examination to obtain the appropriateCDL QLCTT
Certified Obtain Pesticide License CPR/First Aid Certification Certified Flagger Semi-skilled in mechanics Must be able to complete a proficiency test consisting of climbing, knot tying, and chainsaw maintenance Demonstrate an understanding of the safe handling and operation of chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders Knowledge of essential job functions and responsibilities Attention to detail Organizational skills Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to problem solve Meet all physical requirements of the position Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations 18 years of age or older, or 21 if CDL is required Legally authorized to work in the United States Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
