This role provides the autonomy to manage diverse residential and commercial projects while expanding your technical expertise through fully funded certifications. How You Will Make An Impact Perform thorough chimney sweeping, cleaning, and preventative maintenance for diverse clients. Inspect complex venting systems and fireplaces to detect structural issues or hazardous buildup. Execute precise repairs on minor chimney and fireplace components to ensure safe operation. Deliver expert technical recommendations to customers regarding necessary safety enhancements. Enforce strict compliance with regional fire codes and occupational safety regulations. Utilize advanced inspection cameras, vacuums, and specialized trade tools with high proficiency. Educate clients on proper fireplace operation, maintenance practices, and residential fire safety. Required Qualifications & Experience Proven technical experience within low-voltage electrical, HVAC, propane, gas, or specialty trades. Solid capability to work safely on rooftops, within confined spaces, and in variable weather. Strong communication and customer service skills necessary to convey technical findings clearly. Physical capacity to perform demanding labor and safely lift equipment weighing over 50 lbs. Valid driver's license paired with a demonstrated record of safe, responsible driving. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Three or more years of dedicated hands-on experience as a chimney or fireplace technician. Active Certified Chimney Sweep (CSIA) credential or equivalent industry certification. Deep knowledge of complex venting systems, specialized commercial installations, and structural code. Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting mechanical, gas, or electrical control elements. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay ranging from $25.00 to $40.00+ based on trade experience.
