With a home base in Midland, our team travels to customer locations to ensure their buildings, equipment, and grounds remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. Position Overview Basin Blast LLC is seeking a reliable and safety‑driven Exhaust Cleaning Technician to join our expanding team. In this role, you will support commercial clients across the Permian Basin by performing professional kitchen exhaust system cleanings that help prevent fire hazards and keep facilities compliant with safety standards. Hourly Pay:
o $20.00-$25.00/hr., based on experience and certifications oPaid Time Off:

Required throughout the Permian Basin; home base is Midland Key Responsibilities- Assist in operating the company vehicle to reach commercial clients scheduled for kitchen exhaust system cleanings, ensuring timely arrival and efficient travel.
- Work onsite under the guidance of a Lead Hood Cleaner Technician to perform thorough cleaning of kitchen exhaust systems, including degreasing hoods, rails, ductwork, filters, and fans in all types of climate temperatures.
- Utilize specialized tools and cleaning agents to effectively remove grease, debris, and contaminants from exhaust systems, ensuring compliance with fire safety standards.
- Safely set up, operate, and take down equipment necessary for each job, including extension ladders, multi-position ladders, pressure washers, and hoses, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness at all times by ensuring the proper organization, care, and maintenance of equipment, tools, and the company vehicle.
- Ensure compliance with local fire codes and safety regulations during all phases of the cleaning process, contributing to a safe and secure environment.
- Accurately complete required documentation and reporting after each job, including detailed records of work performed and any issues encountered.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure job satisfaction and smooth operations, promptly reporting any problems or equipment malfunctions to management.
- Collaborate with team members to complete particularly large or complex cleaning projects, fostering a supportive and cooperative team environment.
- Be availability to work primarily night shifts Monday through Sunday with occasional day shifts as required to meet business needs.
- Be prepared to travel and stay out of town due to location client demands.
- Must be a self-starter who is responsible for arriving at scheduled jobs on time and working under the supervision of a technician.
- Flexibly accommodate work outside of standard operating hour when necessary.
- Strictly follow company safety protocols and following guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Take pride in delivering high-quality service and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to climbing ladders and work on rooftops.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pass a Respirator Fit Test (Full Mask).
- Must pass drug testing (pre-employment, and at random)
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
- Willingness to attend exhaust certification training and pass exam.
- Wearing the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include but not limited:
- DuPont™ Tychem® 2000 QC Deluxe Coverall (polyethylene-coated Tyvek fabric)
- Ansell® AlphaTec® Sol-Vex® Chemical Resistant Nitrile Gloves
- 3M 6900 Full-Face Respirator Preferred Qualifications (But not Mandatory):
- Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, electrical, mechanical, construction.
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen environments and exhaust systems This position requires successful completion of a background check.
