Job Description

The Greer Group has an amazing direct-hire opportunity for a Testing Technician based in the Bluefield, WV area. This is a career position offering excellent training, benefits, and long-term stability. Veterans are highly encouraged to apply! About the Role As a Testing Technician, you'll perform environmental compliance testing and inspections for retail, commercial, and government clients that store petroleum-based products. You'll be responsible for testing underground tank system components for functionality and leaks, recording and analyzing data, and ensuring compliance with EPA regulations. This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, tech-savvy , and enjoys working independently in the field. Key Responsibilities Travel to job sites across Southern WV regions. Perform UST testing, inspection, and compliance reporting. Operate company-provided testing equipment and service vehicle. Interpret and transmit test results accurately and efficiently. Follow all company and safety procedures on-site. Qualifications Honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic. Mechanically inclined and comfortable using technology. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to pass background and drug screenings. Physically able to bend, kneel, climb ladders (up to 20'), and lift up to 50 lbs. Must be a Virginia resident (position not open to out-of-state applicants). No prior experience required - extensive paid training provided!
Compensation & Benefits Hourly Pay:
$21.00-$22.50/hour (based on experience)
Projected First-Year Earnings:
$48,000+ with increases and overtime
