Job Description:
Job Purpose The AI Solutions Engineer (Data Focus) is a senior individual contributor responsible for designing, building, and continuously improving AI-driven and data-enabled solutions that support Call Center and Network Operations functions. This role operates as a trusted advisor and solution designer, partnering closely with operational leaders to translate real-world needs into effective automation, analytics, and AI agent capabilities. This role emphasizes hands-on AI agent development, operational automation, and process redesign within a telecommunications operating environment. Essential Functions Serve as a solution designer and advisor to Call Center and Network Operations leadership, translating operational challenges into scalable AI and automation solutions. Design, build, and continuously tune AI agents supporting Call Center and NOC use cases, including agents built from scratch and extensions of platform or vendor-provided agents. Operate and optimize AI agents in production , applying advanced prompting, training, testing, and tuning techniques to improve accuracy, reliability, and usability. Analyze, map, and redesign operational processes to enable automation, reduce manual effort, and improve operational consistency. Design and maintain operational analytics models, dashboards, and insights to support performance monitoring and decision-making. Build and maintain automation and integration solutions using low-code and programmatic approaches. Develop, test, and maintain supporting software components, scripts, and data transformations , including SQL- and Python-based solutions. Collaborate closely with IT, platform, and data teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and operational constraints. Produce and maintain clear written documentation for AI agents, prompts, workflows, data models, and operational processes. Participate in testing, validation, and iterative improvement cycles to ensure solutions perform effectively in real operational environments. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.
Experience / Background
3-5 years of experience in data analytics, automation, AI solutions, or software-enabled operational support roles. Hands-on experience building, modifying, and tuning AI agents , including prompt engineering and agent behavior design. Experience applying process mapping and process improvement techniques in operational environments. Experience supporting Call Center, Network Operations, or other mission-critical operational teams (telecommunications experience preferred). Practical experience with software development, scripting, integration, and testing . Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong expertise in AI agent design, advanced prompting techniques, and iterative training/tuning approaches . Experience designing agent interactions with APIs, tools, and operational systems . Ability to monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve AI agent performance in production environments. Familiarity working with structured and unstructured operational data , including tickets, logs, transcripts, and operational notes. Solid working knowledge of Azure data platforms and Microsoft Fabric . Experience building analytics and reporting using Power BI or similar BI tools. Strong proficiency in SQL , with working experience in Python or other scripting languages . Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills with the ability to design pragmatic, maintainable solutions. Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and explain technical solutions to operational and leadership audiences. Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced operational environment while maintaining solution quality. Collaborative, solution-oriented mindset with comfort working across technical and non-technical teams. Supervisory Responsibility This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct supervisory responsibility. Work Environment On-site role based at our Cincinnati, OH headquarters , with regular in-person engagement with Call Center and Network Operations teams. Occasional off-hours coordination may be required to support operational activities or solution deployments.
