Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training th you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position the level for which you are applying. Qualificion requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The screen out element for this position is ability to do the work of a

JOB ELEMENTS
Your qualificions evalued on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of the makeup, operion, installion, and adjustment of a variety of major interreled and/or integred aircraft systems, subsystems, and assemblies such as fuel and hydraulic systems, flight control systems, instrumention systems, engines, landing gear assemblies, airframe, and control surfaces. 2. Knowledge of a wide variety of parts, components, subsystems, and assemblies such as ejection ses, nuclear shielding, or similar self-contained systems. 3. Knowledge of safety regulions, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of supply procedures, the publicion order system, and documention procedures. 4. Skill in the use of standard and specialized tools and test equipment including fixtures, temples, scales, test stands, and external power sources. 5. Skill in reading and understanding da and settings from cockpit instruments and gauges. 6. Ability to rig, function test, or troubleshoot systems; determine when they are opering properly or whether portions of the system should be repaired or replaced; and the type and extent of adjustment and alignment needed.
Physical Effort:
The work requires modere to strenuous effort. Must climb, bend, stoop, crawl, and stand for prolonged periods on concrete or metal surfaces. Working Conditions:
Work is performed in hanger areas, outdoors, in parked aircraft, and sometimes in hazardous noiseareas. Exposed to extremes in he, cold, and inclement weher. Must work in confined areas and in awkwardpositions. Exposed to dirt, grease, and aircraft fluids, oil, hydraulic fluid, solvents, and hazardous fluids and gases suchas Hydrazine and Halon. Subject to cuts, bruises, muscle strain, and injury from falls off scaffolds, ladders, andaircraft surfaces. May be exposed to intake suction and hot exhaust blast.
