Job Description
The Aircraft Mechanic II (C-130 Powerline) role is responsible for performing organizational-level aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, servicing, and repair activities on C-130 aircraft, while also supporting cross-functional operations involving MV-22 aircraft platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on C-130 aircraft systems and components
- Conduct daily, preflight, turnaround, and post-flight maintenance inspections
- Troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneudraulic, and fuel systems
- Perform corrosion control, aircraft washing, lubrication, and exterior cleaning procedures
- Repair and replace aircraft structures, flight controls, wiring systems, and related components
- Support engine, powertrain, and auxiliary system maintenance activities
- Supervise aircraft towing, jacking, servicing, and maintenance documentation processes
- Cross-train on MV-22 aircraft maintenance operations as required
Required Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and repair capabilities for C-130 aircraft systems
- Knowledge of aircraft structures, flight controls, engines, and landing gear systems
- Experience with aircraft corrosion control and painting techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and maintenance documentation
- Knowledge of Naval Aviation Maintenance Program standards and procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to transfer technical knowledge and mentor junior mechanics
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience troubleshooting and repairing C-130 aircraft
- Completion of applicable military
MOS/NEC/AFSC
specialty training required- Must be eligible to obtain a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC)
- Valid state driver's license required
- Ability to obtain required support equipment licenses if assigned
- Must maintain compliance with all applicable military aviation maintenance standards and procedures
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and operational support shifts as needed
- Travel up to 10% may be required IND002
Pay:
$33.67 - $42.00 per hourBenefits:
