Airfield Management Services, 14th Flying Training Wing Job Summary Avyon Consulting Group is seeking Airfield Management Operations Managers to support airfield operations at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi and Gunshy Auxiliary Airfield. You will assist the Airfield Manager in conducting daily airfield management functions in a mission-critical operational environment supporting the 14th Flying Training Wing's Undergraduate Pilot Training mission. Key Responsibilities Assist the Airfield Manager in overseeing daily airfield management and operations support Conduct daily airfield inspections and discrepancy reporting Perform NOTAM coordination and airfield status reporting Ensure airfield safety and compliance with FAA and DoD requirements Coordinate with Air Traffic Control (ATC), Civil Engineering (CE), and other base stakeholders Support the airfield driving program and monitor vehicle operations in the controlled movement area Coordinate emergency response for aircraft incidents on the airfield Support wildlife hazard management coordination and BASH program operations Monitor airfield lighting, pavements, and markings and report discrepancies Supervise Airfield Management Shift Leads during assigned shifts Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of airfield management or airport operations experience Knowledge of FAA regulations, USAF airfield management directives, and DoD safety requirements Experience conducting airfield inspections and safety assessments Experience with NOTAM systems and airfield status reporting Ability to operate vehicles on an active airfield and meet color vision requirements Ability to work irregular hours and rotating shifts Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain US Citizenship required Preferred Qualifications Prior military airfield management experience (AFSC 1C7X1) Experience at an AETC base supporting UPT operations Experience at Columbus AFB or Gunshy Auxiliary Airfield Experience with wildlife hazard management and BASH programs Why Join Avyon Avyon Consulting Group is an SBA 8(a) certified defense company. Airfield Management Services, 14th Flying Training Wing Job Summary Avyon Consulting Group is seeking Airfield Management Shift Leads to support airfield operations at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi and Gunshy Auxiliary Airfield. You will lead shifts, conduct airfield inspections, coordinate NOTAM reporting, respond to emergencies, and ensure safe operations supporting one of the busiest military flying training operations in the world. Key Responsibilities Function as the shift leader when designated by the Airfield Manager Conduct daily airfield inspections and discrepancy reporting during assigned shifts Perform NOTAM coordination and airfield status reporting Inspect and check the airfield for flying safety hazards including compliance with airfield criteria, FOD, and BASH Ensure airfield safety and compliance with FAA and DoD requirements during shift operations Coordinate with Air Traffic Control (ATC), Civil Engineering (CE), and other base stakeholders Support the airfield driving program and monitor controlled movement area operations Respond to aircraft emergencies, accidents, and incidents on the airfield Coordinate wildlife hazard management including use of firearms and deterrent devices Monitor airfield lighting, pavements, and markings and report discrepancies Maintain shift logs, document incidents, and prepare reports Participate in Operational Readiness Exercises and Major Accident Response Exercises Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of airfield management or airport operations experience Knowledge of FAA regulations, USAF airfield management directives, and DoD safety requirements Ability to operate vehicles on an active airfield and meet color vision requirements Ability to use wildlife control devices including firearms Ability to work irregular hours, rotating shifts, and rest days with periods of high stress Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain US Citizenship required Must pass random drug testing Preferred Qualifications Prior military airfield management experience (AFSC 1C7X1) Experience at a UPT or AETC base Experience at Columbus AFB or Gunshy Auxiliary Airfield Experience responding to aircraft emergencies on a military airfield Why Join Avyon Avyon Consulting Group is an SBA 8(a) certified defense company.
