Fleet Net Hucker 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Naknek, AK 99633 Silver Bay Seafoods 297 reviews As the Fleet Net Runner, you will work under the Fleet Net Runner Lead and with the Fleet Office to manage and facilitate the storage and movement of nets, freight, and miscellaneous items to support our Bristol Bay Fleet and Tenders. In addition to working cooperatively as a member of the Fleet team, you must be effective in carrying out independent assignments. In order to be successful, you will need strong communication and organizational skills to promptly complete work orders and maintain detailed records. Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy is expected. You should be prepared to work long hours in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with the Fleet Management Team and Net Runner Lead to receive and execute daily assignments. Assist in the shipping and receiving of all nets, parts, and freight on and off the fishing grounds. Coordinate with Dock crew to safely coordinate freight and parts transfers across the dock, assisting in the maintenance of detailed logs of all movement and location of items. Maintain accurate inventory records of nets and freight stored on company property, collaborating with the Fleet Office to ensure data integrity. Execute work orders, including the operation of heavy equipment (if qualified) for transporting and moving nets and freight. Represent Silver Bay Seafoods professionally and maintain positive relationships within the Bristol Bay community. Other duties to help support teams and entire organization. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required; or three to six months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience operating forklifts, boom trucks, cranes, heavy equipment, and telehandlers is preferred but not required. Experience with rigging and securing loads for transport is a plus. Valid driver's license required. Familiarity with Bristol Bay area is highly desired. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision and depth perception. Mental Activities The employee needs the ability to multitask in a high-demand environment. They should have great communication skills, reliability, and punctuality. The employee needs to regularly demonstrate attention to detail and strong time management skills.
