Calhoun County 9-1-1 is now accepting applicants to join a

NEW CLASS

of Emergency 9-1-1 Telecommunicators. Starting pay is $20.22 per hour with annual pay increases. Applicants with prior public safety telecommunications experience, the starting wages may be negotiated at an increased starting pay. Blue Cross Blue Shield health/dental insurance. We participate in Retirement Systems of Alabama. Paid sick leave and annual leave based. Night shift differential of $0.50 per hour. Degrees of higher learning receive : Associates +2%, Bachelors +4% or Masters +6% above standard pay Qualified applicants must successfully complete aptitude skills testing, psychological assessment, typing tests, medical examination, drug test and a personal interview. A comprehensive criminal background investigation is required including NCIC fingerprinting. Applicants must have no felony involvements and maintain a valid Alabama Driver's license.
