HISTORIC PRESERVATION CREW

BANDELIER NATIONAL MONUMENT
Join a conservation and historic preservation crew working on Pueblo-era ruins and historic structures in Bandelier National Monument. This crew supports cultural preservation through hands-on fieldwork using both traditional and modern techniques. Historic structure stabilization and preservation Archaeological site support and monument maintenance Grounds beautification and resource protection Learning Park Service preservation methods and cultural history
SEASON DETAILS
June 1 - July 31, 2026 Monday-Friday | 8:00am-4:30pm Weekends + federal holidays off
PAY + BENEFITS
Crew Supervisor:
$18.00/hour (before taxes), paid biweekly — overtime eligible Assistant Crew Leader (ACL): $690/week stipend (before taxes) $1,565 AmeriCorps Education Award upon completion
Crew Members:
$650/week stipend (before taxes) $1,565 AmeriCorps Education Award after completion
YOU SHOULD BE
Able to work outdoors in all weather Comfortable doing physical labor (hiking, lifting up to 50 lbs, using tools Team player with a strong work ethic Willing to learn and grow New Mexico resident Rocky Mountain Youth Corps is a nonprofit youth development program in New Mexico focused on conservation work, job training, and helping young adults build real-life skills through service.
