12hr, 06:30-18:30,

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Job Summary:

To assist the Cardiologists in performing invasive and diagnostic/interventional cardiac/vascular and electrophysiologic procedures as well as technical hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation using automated techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare patients

• Take a patient's medical history, explain the procedure, and position the patient and equipment to take the image Operate equipment
• Use computerized and manual equipment to take images, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, fluoroscopy, or sonography Evaluate images
• Review the images to ensure they are clear enough for a doctor to diagnose Document patient care
• Record patient medical histories, enter patient data into computers, and maintain patient records Communicate with patients and doctors
• Explain procedures and test results to patients, and inform doctors of patient conditions Protect patients and staff
• Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff, and follow infection control policies Assist with other tasks
• Help with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and restocking supplies

Requirements:

CRT / ARRT.

Minimum 2-year(s) exp. BLS, ACLS, NRP, NBRC and PALS required. Experience using Siemens fixed equipment Carestream portables GE OEC C-arms Step-down, telemetry, or critical care experience preferred. Level I trauma Proficient Operating Room experience due to occasional OR case

Work Environment & Demands:

Hospital settings (Med-Surg units, post-op recovery, step-down). Physical demands include standing, lifting patients/equipment, and stress management.
