2015 Certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) North Carolina HUB Certified Minority-Owned Business We are currently seeking qualified and professional American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters to support assignments in the following locations: Bay Pines, FL Gainesville, FL San Juan, PR Tampa, FL Miami, FL Orlando, FL West Palm Beach, FL Position Summary The ASL Interpreter will provide accurate and professional interpretation services between Deaf/Hard of Hearing individuals and hearing individuals in healthcare, administrative, and community settings. Interpreters must maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to industry ethical standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide on-site ASL interpretation services for appointments, meetings, and related assignments Facilitate clear and accurate communication between all parties Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and professional ethics Follow RID Code of Professional Conduct standards Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled assignments Complete required reports and assignment documentation promptly Follow all GLS and client-specific policies and procedures Required Qualifications Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English Minimum of 1-2 years of professional ASL interpreting experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism Reliable transportation for local assignments Preferred Qualifications RID Certification (NIC, CI/CT, CSC, CDI, etc.) preferred Experience in healthcare or government interpreting Knowledge of medical terminology preferred Experience working in Veterans Affairs or healthcare settings is a plus Compensation Competitive hourly compensation based on experience, certification level, and assignment complexity.
