Job Description
Responsibilities include:
Recruiting, orienting and providing ongoing training to AmeriCorps Volunteers for service assignments located at St. Paul's Community Development Corporation and our community site partner agencies (10+ Volunteers recruited annually) Identifying opportunities and site partners for AmeriCorps Volunteer community service Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with service site partners Monitoring and reporting on the progress of service objectives Providing financial information to ensure adequate and timely submission of grant reports Monitoring and reporting on Volunteer service hours, financial compensation (including childcare and healthcare), and Educational Attainment Awards Participating in the planning of grant revisions to insure a quality program for the future Designing and implementing ongoing Volunteer training and career development opportunities Serving as a liaison between St. Paul's Community Development Corporation and other civic and academic institutions, as well as Corporation State Offices, in the coordination of Volunteer efforts Planning an annual recognition program for AmeriCorps Volunteers Assisting in/or writing, when appropriate, proposals intended to support the AmeriCorps Program Performing other service related duties as applicable and assignedQualifications and Requirements:
College degree in education, social work, social services or a related human services field Strong organizational skills Excellent verbal, written and communication skills Strong research and community development skills Strong computer proficiency skills Team player, proactive, also able to work independently Strong compliance background preferred Experience with personnel recruitment and training preferred Understanding of socially relevant issues impacting young people in low-income urban communities Valid Driver's License required Full-time (F/T), weekend and evening hours may be required Benefits Health Benefits (i.e. Primary Care, Dental & Vision - Employee ONLY) - (Post-90 Day Probationary Period) Two Weeks Paid Vacation Fourteen Paid Holidays Paid Sick Leave 403-B Retirement Plan (Post-1-Year Employment)Job Type:
