What You'll Do:
Perform sample analysis using GC/MS and GC/FID methods Collect, prepare and analyze samples within the laboratory environment Prepare lab for daily operations, including stocking materials, evaluating equipment, and performing safety and cleaning procedures Support the testing process by preparing samples for analysis Ensure appropriate testing procedures are conducted in compliance with Quality Assurance and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements Schedule, prepare, and analyze samples based on method requirements within allotted time frame Review, complete, and process logs and additional documentation as required Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you are actively contributing to a safe work environment Other duties as required
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field; or experience in lieu of Previous experience working in an environmental laboratory is preferred Exceptional time management and communication skills Strong data analysis and documentation abilities Strong working knowledge of general laboratory equipment Ability to communicate with people from various backgrounds Ability to work independently Eager to learn, take initiative, quick learner, and self-motivated Prioritize tasks assigned Organized and detail oriented Read and write in English, able to follow written/verbal instructions Internal applicants may be considered in lieu of meeting minimum education and/or experience requirements Waypoint Analytical is an equal opportunity employer.
