Red Barn Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate, self-directed, and energetic individual to join our Kennel Team.
Position Overview:
As a valued member of our team, you'll help ensure the comfort, health, and happiness of the pets in our care.
Responsibilities include:
Supervising and engaging pets during playtime Walking dogs and monitoring their well-being Feeding and medicating animals as instructed Providing loving, attentive care Cleaning kennels, clinic rooms, bathrooms, and outdoor areas Supporting the overall cleanliness and safety of the facility Assisting with appointments as needed

Compassionate toward animals and people Highly self-motivated and able to take initiative without constant direction Reliable, punctual, and professional Strong communicators with excellent interpersonal skills Team players who value collaboration and community Emotionally intelligent and able to handle high-energy or sensitive environments Confident and calm when handling animals of all sizes and temperaments Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced veterinary setting Equipped with reliable transportation and available to work weekends and holidays
Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:
This role requires hands-on, physical work in both indoor and outdoor settings. Team members must be able to: Safely handle and restrain animals of varying sizes Tolerate loud noise, animal-related messes, and exposure to cleaning agents Bend, stoop, stand, and walk for extended periods Lift animals and objects up to 55 lbs (reasonable accommodations available) Work in all weather conditions
