Performs compliced technical procedures involving diagnostic imaging, surgery, medicine, critical or general care, or any combinion of veterinary support work in support of the VTF. Communices assignments, projects, problems to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion. Identifies, distributes and balances workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow and specializion. Instructs personnel on the operion, maintenance, and troubleshooting issues of diagnostic and pient monitoring equipment for purposes of maintaining clinical readiness of VMO, technical staff, and military working animals. Responsible for medical care of Military Working Dogs (MWDs) and Government Owned Animals (GOAs) assigned to Hill AFB and NAS Fallon. Inserts intravenous cheters and calcules drug dosages, fluid levels and, exposure factors of diagnostic radiographic studies according to hospital SOPs; inities fluid therapy for anesthesia support and intensive care pients.
