Job Title:
A&P Mechanic Job Description This role focuses on performing maintenance, modifications, and upgrades on a variety of regional jets, primarily CRJ and ERJ aircraft. You will work extensively on C and D checks and heavy maintenance tasks to ensure aircraft safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Perform heavy maintenance on CRJ-200 aircraft, including detailed C and D checks and structural inspections. Carry out maintenance, modifications, and upgrades on regional jets such asCRJ 200, ERJ
135, and ERJ 145 in accordance with approved procedures and manuals. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft systems and components to ensure airworthiness and compliance with regulatory standards. Document all maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly in maintenance logs and forms. Use appropriate tools and equipment safely and effectively while following all hangar and safety procedures. Collaborate with a team of technicians to efficiently complete work on assigned aircraft, typically in groups of 8-12 technicians per aircraft. Support line maintenance tasks as needed, including routine checks and corrective actions. Maintain a clean and organized work area and care for personal and company tools. Follow all company policies, procedures, and quality standards to deliver high-quality, reliable maintenance services. Essential Skills FAA A&P License Required Knowledge of heavy maintenance procedures for regional jets, particularly CRJ and ERJ platforms is highly preferred Ability to perform C and D checks, inspections, and repairs in accordance with maintenance manuals and regulatory requirements. Strong understanding of aircraft systems, structures, and components. Ability to work effectively as part of a large maintenance team in a hangar environment. Capability to use and maintain a personal basic tool set. Attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work takes place in a large hangar environment with at least 20 technicians on site and approximately 8-12 employees assigned per aircraft. The atmosphere is casual yet professional, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork. Technicians use their own basic tool sets to perform tasks on regional jets and work with standard hangar equipment and tooling. The schedule includes a first shift from Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime as needed, and a second shift from Monday to Friday, 1:30 p.m. to midnight, also with overtime as required. New hires train on first shift before transitioning to second shift. A per diem is offered to support work-related expenses. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Georgetown, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $44.00/hr.
