Job Description

Associate Professional (AP) /
House Manager Position Summary:
The AP/Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the residential program while ensuring quality care, supervision, and support for residents. This position provides leadership to direct care staff, ensures compliance with state regulations and agency policies, supports treatment goals, and helps maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for youth served within the program. The AP/Manager will work closely with the Qualified Professional (QP), clinical team, guardians, schools, and community partners to ensure residents receive appropriate care, supervision, and services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations of the group home and ensure proper staffing coverage Provide direct supervision and support to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and overnight staff Ensure staff are following policies, procedures, treatment plans, and safety protocols Monitor and document resident behaviors, incidents, progress, and daily activities Assist with implementing person-centered plans (PCPs), goals, and therapeutic interventions Conduct shift checks and ensure proper supervision ratios are maintained Ensure medications are administered and documented according to policy and physician orders Review documentation including progress notes, MARs, incident reports, and communication logs for accuracy and completion Assist with scheduling staff and managing call-outs or shift coverage Coordinate transportation, appointments, school communication, and community activities Participate in treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and trainings Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support when necessary Ensure the home remains clean, safe, organized, and compliant with licensing standards Train and mentor staff on trauma-informed care, behavior management, and company policies Communicate professionally with guardians, social workers, providers, and outside agencies Maintain confidentiality and protect resident rights at all times
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred Minimum qualifications required to meet North Carolina Associate Professional (AP) standards Experience working with youth, behavioral health, foster care, or developmental disabilities preferred Supervisory or management experience preferred Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work in crisis situations and maintain professionalism under pressure Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behavior management techniques Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass background checks and required trainings

Work Schedule:
Flexible schedule based on program needs, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist residents when necessary Ability to respond quickly in emergency or crisis situations Ability to safely transport residents if required
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
