Apprentice Electrician - 2nd - 4th Year

Our team at LWE seeks 2nd year through 4th year Apprentice Electrician to learn under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician. Duties and Responsibilities:

Depending upon assignment, duties may include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist a Journeyman Electrician and follow instructions
• Prepare and clean work areas
• Carry and deliver materials
• Install, maintain, and repair various electrical systems and equipment
• Follow safety codes and building regulations
• Communicates effectively orally, in writing, and electronically
• Read and work from blueprints, technical manuals, charts, and schematics
• Maintain accurate records and reports on completed assignments
• Performs any other related duties as assigned
• Establish and maintain cooperative work relationships

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED certificate
• Valid Driver's License
• Valid Utah Apprentice License
• Minimum of two years experience
• Completion of or enrollment in electrical training program
• Able to diagnose problems using electronic test equipment (3rd and 4th Year Apprentices)
• Eagerness to learn electrical schematics and blueprints
• Completion of 10-hour OSHA training upon hire.
• Demonstrate knowledge of methods, materials, tools, safety practices and equipment in the electrical trade (3rd and 4th Year Apprentices)
• Strong troubleshooting abilities (3rd and 4th Year Apprentices)
• Good time management and strong work ethic
• Problem solving and critical thinking

Working Conditions:

• Indoor and outdoor construction sites. Outdoor sites often exposed to weather conditions
• Hazardous conditions

Physical Abilities:

• Hearing and speaking to effectively exchange information
• Sit, stand, and walk for extended time periods
• Lift moderate to heavy objects (50lbs)
• Ability to remain on feet all day
• Ability to work at heights on scissor lifts

$21.00 - $35.00 per hour
